About Me

My name is Evanne, made from my two grandmothers names Eva + Anne put together and I happened to marry Mr Evans in 2004 – so no, I wasn’t christened this name! 

I was born in Canada but grew up in the UK and have also lived and worked in several other countries over the years for startups and large corporations.  Once upon a time, I considered myself a woman of international mystery (with an Irish passport), but since settling in Melbourne, Australia, I found a place to call home.

Creative writing has been a passion of mine since I was a teenager, penning moody lyrics to songs and exploring the techniques of short stories, but becoming a real-life writer has always been a major professional goal.

Once my three sons were all at school, I went back to University to study the craft and techniques of professional writing and am now thrilled to be assisting a diverse client base with their copywriting and content needs. See, you can teach an old dog new tricks!

I have always been a curious person, a great communicator and active listener, and I like to ask lots of questions to understand how people, places and things work and connect. I also love learning about the amazing stories interwoven into peoples lives because of their personal journey and experiences. 

Aligning and collaborating with likeminded people and businesses who have good work ethics and values is when the fireworks shine the brightest!
